Boston Scientific has announced a €30 million investment in Cork with the creation of 70 new jobs.
The investment will allow Boston Scientific to accelerate the development and manufacturing of minimally invasive medical technologies.

Boston Scientific is the largest life sciences employer in Ireland, employing more than 6,000 people at its sites in Galway, Clonmel, and Cork and it exports more than 12 million medical devices annually
The Boston Scientific site in Model Farm Road, Cork currently employs over 1,200 people and produces a range of medical devices.
Sean Gayer, vice president of operations at Boston Scientific, Cork told IDA Ireland:
“We are delighted to be adding new quality, engineering and production capabilities to our Cork facility and contributing further to the strong MedTech sector in the region.”
These new jobs will boost the local economy and add to the large number of Pharma and Medical Device manufacturing jobs already in County Cork.
