Bausch + Lomb has announced 130 new jobs in Waterford on the back of €90m investment.
The investment will increase capacity for the manufacture of the company’s range of contact lenses and the new production lines are expected to be running by 2023.

Bausch + Lomb is one of the largest employers in the south-east – employing more than 1,500 people – and they have had a presence in Waterford for over 40 years.
Mark Hennessy, Site Lead of Bausch & Lomb, Waterford told the IDA Ireland:
“Our Vision is to be the global leader in contact lens innovation and manufacturing, and this latest investment will enable the Waterford facility to meet the growing demand for our very successful Biotrue ONEday range of daily disposable contact lenses.”
These jobs will boost the local economy and add to the 4,300 Pharma and Medical Device manufacturing jobs already in the county.
